It all stays on your Mac.

Mandala has no servers holding your data because there is nothing to hold. Every break, every mandala and every number is computed and kept on your machine.

On your Mac, only

Every mandala, break and number is generated and stored locally. There is no cloud copy because there is no cloud.

Your account holds a license

A free mandala.rest account tracks your trial and your license key — and nothing else. It never sees a break, a drawing or a score.

No analytics, ever

No telemetry, no usage tracking, no crash phone-home, no third-party SDKs. Nothing watches how you use it.

You hold the keys

Your break data leaves only by your own hand — a CSV export you choose to make. Otherwise it never moves.

Stays on your Mac

  • Your break history, streaks and daily Screen Score
  • Every mandala ever drawn for you, and any set as wallpaper
  • Your schedule, palette choice and app settings
  • Which breaks you took, skipped or snoozed

Ever leaves it

  • A CSV file — but only if and when you export one yourself
  • Your email address, to sign in and to send your license key
  • Your license key, a device identifier and the Mac's name, when the app checks the license is still valid

The details, plainly

Do you collect any analytics?
No. There is no telemetry of any kind — no usage metrics, no crash reporting, and no third-party analytics SDKs bundled into the app.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one, so a trial or a purchase can follow you to a new Mac. It stores your email, your trial dates and your license — never anything the app draws or measures.
Where do my mandalas and stats live?
In Mandala’s local container on your Mac. They are never uploaded. Delete the app and every trace goes with it.
What does license activation send?
Your license key, a random device identifier and the Mac's name, so the app can show you which machine a seat is on. It repeats roughly every two weeks to keep the seat fresh; no usage data is ever attached.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Your Screen Score history exports to a plain CSV whenever you like. Nothing else ever leaves the machine.
Will this policy change?
If it ever does, the date at the top updates and the change is noted in the changelog. The on-device principle is not going anywhere.
